Inuit© WAS CONCEPTUALIZED TO HELP SMEs IN INDIA
Mr Sharath Punthambekar, CTO of Inuit Cloud Technologies Pvt. Ltd., with his back ground of over thirty years in technology industry, having implemented several business process systems both in India and abroad, felt that if a country has to be develop we need to make the SMEs more productive. An organization to become productive, one proven area is Automation of business process to improve the productivity of organization.
For the automation to succeed in SMEs, the challenges which every SMEs faced were, lack of resource for costly IT infrastructure, IT culture & trained staff. Frequent migration of staff, forced SMEs to continuously involve in training the new staff, spending regularly on consultants & so on.
With this premise as a background, Inuit© is designed, developed and implemented by Mr Sharath Punthambekar. Government of India (GOI) welcomed this initiative and Mr Sharath was asked to submit his idea with a prototype to Government of India for evaluation.
The evaluation was a two-step process. One was the regulatory and India specific: The innovator, organization & application or innovation has to be ratified by Government of India, Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce & Industry (FICCI) and the Innovation has to be cleared by USA agencies, Lockheed Martin, Texas, USA for technology, IC2 Institute, Austin, USA for the commercialization viability report called Quick Report for the innovation and Indo-US Science & Technology Forum for validating FICCI’s recommendations.
Technology & Commercial viability were both cleared by USA agencies, with the highest rating for Inuit© as “Must be Commercialized”.
With this achievement for Inuit©, Mr Sharath Punthambekar bagged the prestigious India Innovation Award as one of the twenty selected Indians for Inuit© innovation. A cash award and A Gold Medal! Mr Sharath Punthambekar holds the Intellectual Property Rights (IPR) of Inuit©.
